Please be sure to review these policies prior to booking

Pet Policy

We welcome pets in selected Pet Friendly Rooms only:

  • One pet per room (up to 30 lbs).
  • A $25 per night pet fee applies to the booking.
  • A $250 damage deposit is required at the time of booking. This will be returned upon check-out following a full room inspection.
  • Pets must never be left alone in the room, vehicle, or anywhere onsite. Violation will result in the full loss of your reservation and deposit.
  • Owners are fully responsible for their pet’s behavior, including noise or damage.
  • All pets must be leashed at all times while onsite.

Booking Policy

  • Deposit: A 50% deposit is charged at the time of booking.
  • Pet Deposit: Please refer to the Pet Policy.

    2. We only endorse bookings through Expedia and Booking.com

External Booking Agencies

To avoid scams and double charges, please review this carefully:

  • Expedia & Booking.com: These are our only affiliated Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). Guests are responsible for contacting the OTA directly for any changes or cancellations.
  • Third-Party Engines: We do not recognize, or honor bookings made through unverified platforms such as ReservationDesk.com. Any such reservations are not mapped to our system and will not be accommodated or refunded.

Check-In / Check-Out

  • Check-In: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM PST
    • A room access code will be sent via text or email.
    • In-person check-in is also available at the front office between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
    • Late Check-In: Must be pre-arranged by 7:00 PM on the day of arrival. Failure to notify may result in loss of the reservation. No rate adjustments are provided for late arrivals.
    • Early Check-In: Available upon request. Please contact us via your OTA or at [email protected].
    • Car Registration: Check in at the office to receive a parking pass for one vehicle. Early drop-off is available.
  • Check-Out: 10:00 AM PST
    • Use your keyless code to check out without needing the office.
    • Late Check-Out: Available upon request, pending availability. A $50 fee applies for unauthorized late check-outs.
    • Inspection: Rooms are inspected after departure. Pet room deposits will be returned post-inspection. Damages may result in additional charges—see Damage Policy.

Non-Smoking & Zero Drug Use

We are a strictly non-smoking and zero-drug-use property. This includes:

Marijuana, tobacco, vaping, and any illicit substances. Violation will result in a $500 fine, full reservation charge, and immediate eviction.


Room Capacity & Gatherings

  • Maximum occupancy per suite must be respected.
  • Large gatherings are not permitted in guest rooms. Please use outdoor spaces or arrange offsite.
  • Unauthorized parties will result in eviction and full room charges.

BBQs & Fire Pits

Smoking is strictly prohibited near any BBQs or fire pits. Any violation will result in immediate removal from the property and cancellation of your booking without refund. We have multiple BBQ and fire pit areas available for guest use:

  • Middle Deck BBQ Station: Equipped with two BBQs that run on natural gas—no propane required.
  • Lakeview Deck: Includes a fire pit and BBQ, both of which run on propane.
  • Relaxing Deck (End of Property): Features a BBQ that also runs on propane.

Guests are not permitted to remove, tamper with, or replace propane tanks under any circumstance. If you require assistance or have questions, please notify the front desk in advance, and our team will be happy to help.Guests using these facilities do so at their own risk. Okanagan Lakefront Resort is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damage caused by improper use or disregard of safety instructions.

Noise & Quiet Hours

  • Located in the vibrant summer hub of Penticton’s Lakeshore Drive, ambient noise is expected during peak season.
  • Guests seeking total quiet should consider this before booking.

Quiet Hours:

  • Mon–Thurs: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Fri–Sun & Holidays: 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Lost or Stolen Items

  • Okanagan Lakefront Resort is not responsible for lost, forgotten, or stolen personal belongings left in public or shared areas of the property, including outdoor decks, garden seating, and parking lots.
  • In the event of a reported theft from within a guest's room during their stay, please notify the front desk immediately.
  • Our property is monitored by 10 security cameras. In the event of an incident, we will review the footage and work with local police to assist as best we can.

Safety & Security

  • We work with a local security company that conducts regular patrols during the day and overnight to help ensure the safety of our guests and premises.
  • The property is monitored by 24/7 security cameras.
  • By booking, guests consent to surveillance on resort grounds.

Damage Policy

  • Guests are expected to treat rooms and furnishings with care.
  • Immediate notification to the front desk is required for damages.
  • Charges will apply for:
    • Replacement of damaged items at retail value
    • Labor/services required to fix damages (e.g., carpet cleaning, plumbing, drywall repair)  

Extending Your Stay

Extensions depend on availability. To request:

  • For in-house guests: visit the front desk early to ensure availability. We may not be able to guarantee the same room type or location.

Kitchen Use Policy

  • Fire Safety: Guests must turn off stoves and ovens before leaving their suite.
  • Cooking Restrictions: Avoid strong-smelling foods that require extra cleaning.
  • Dishes: Guests must wash all dishes before check-out. Soap and supplies are provided.

Reservation Policy

  • Rooms are held until 7:00 PM on check-in day. After that, unconfirmed arrivals may be cancelled.
  • Rates are locked in upon booking. We do not price-match OTA fluctuations.
  • Book directly for consistent pricing.
  • Only Expedia and Booking.com are trusted affiliates.
  • A 3% MRDT tax (Municipal & Regional District Tax) applies to all rooms.
  • Guest occupancy limits must be respected. Additional guests beyond the booked occupancy will result in immediate cancellation and full charges.

Room Cleaning

  • Stays of 7 Days: One complimentary room refresh.
  • Stays Over 7 Days: Two complimentary refreshes.
  • Guests must select their refresh days at check-in.
  • Extra Refreshes: $30 per request for stays under 7 days or for additional cleanings.

Parking Policy

  • One unassigned parking spot per room.
  • No trailers, boats, or vehicles over 8 feet in height.
  • Enter through Lakeshore Drive, exit through the back gate (open 24/7 during high season).
  • Guests are responsible for arranging parking for additional or oversized vehicles.
